I think theres something wrong with my neck

I'm only 15 and a half and my cousin and I were doing some exercises and I realized my neck was hurting. He said that the neck pain wasn't suppose to happen. I've noticed that recently, I can't turn my head past my left shoulder. And when I turn my neck to the left at all..it hurts really bad.
There have also been some occasions, where at night I've woken up with extreme pain in my neck- i think from sleeping on it bad, and I think that if I moved it, it hurt alot..I can't remember well...

What do you guys think is wrong?

Re: I think theres something wrong with my neck

Thank you... is it safe to exercise? Or should I stop exercising until it gets better?

And is there anything else I can do? Should I get a different pillow? Maybe soak in hot water? etc..?

Re: I think theres something wrong with my neck

i would hold up on the exercising until it is better. warm heat will help. it should feel better in a few days. you probably just slept with your nexk crooked or something. if it persists, wouldn't hurt to see your dr

I am pretty sure you have some tight muscles on one side. I am a massage therapist and deal with this a lot. Get a good neck massage from a licensed MT and "drop those shoulders" and do some slow streches.
