    Need advice. Possibly breathed asbestos

    Hi, this place I work.
They were putting in new tiles and I was watching the place.
The tiles were from the 50s. They were made with asbestos.
If I breathed in some of the asbestos. The smoke that comes out when you remove the tiles.
Is there anything I can take for this.
I remember reading this stuff can cause cancer.
    I got a doctor's appointment Friday.
I'm curious if there are prescriptions drugs for this.

If you breathe asbestos fibers into your lungs, some of the fibers will be deposited in the air passages and on the cells that make up your lungs. However, very few of these fibers move through your lungs into your body. Instead, most fibers are removed from your lungs by being carried away in a layer of mucus to the throat, where they are swallowed into the stomach. This usually takes place within a few hours, but fibers that are deposited in the deepest parts of the lung are removed more slowly, and some can remain in place for many years and may never be removed.

A lot will depend on how long you were inhaling the air in vicinity of tile removal and your body's ability to move the asbestos out.

most people get cancer from asbestos if they work with it for a long period of time like an asbestos factor etc. so dont worry ims ure you will be ok form that little bit. and also there are no proscition drugs for this all you need to do is wait and see if anything shows up or goes wrong with you this usually take about 20-40 years.
