Re: PinWorms Or Somthing

You would not have gotten the pinworms from your dog.

How are you certain they are pinworms? Have you actually seen any pinworms or eggs? When you had them 5 weeks ago, were you certain then?

I don't know what you found in the bathroom but in order to kill pinworms you need to take pills. These can be purchased at any pharmacy without a prescription. As well, all clothing and linens need to be washed in HOT water to prevent re-infection. In keeping this a secret from your mom, I doubt you did this and re-infected yourself.

You get pinworms from injesting the eggs which are found only in feces. Wash your hands often.

Re: PinWorms Or Somthing

If one person in the family has pinworms, every person in the family needs to be treated or they will be passed back and forth from one to another.

Like the other poster suggested, everything needs to be washed in hot water, all clothes (underwear for sure). Sleep with long pants on to keep from scratching at night and getting pinworms under fingrnails.

Wash hands frequently and while washing with soap sing happy birthday twice then rinse hands. That will give time for hands to be washed clean.

You really need to tell your mother so all members can be treated.

Yes, make sure you keep hands washed, keep nails scrubbed in particular to stop reinfestation. If you are a nose-picker or a nail biter then these are common ways for the eggs to be transferred into your gut.

Re: PinWorms Or Somthing

Please, please do not be embarressed to talk to your mom about personal health issues.

Remember, your mom went thru embarassing moments to give birth to you and survived. You will survive talking to her about your health issues.

It is better to get help from your own mother than from strangers, give her a chance to help you.

You are risking the health of everyone in your family, pinworms infect everyone in the family if not treated. All members of the family need to be treated.

I have had pinworms at your age and younger, they are not fun, very miserable. There is only one way to get relief and that is with proper medical treatment and the entire family treated so it is not passed around to you gain.
