Tonsil Stones are RUINING my life!

Have you tried nasal / throat irrigation using the Grossan Hydropulse.

The throat irrigation tip on full power dislodged my tonsil stones. I use it every night now and they haven't returned.

I know exactly how you feel. The only permanant solution is a tonsillectomy. I had it done in March and am soooo glad I did it. If they are at a point that the stones are ruining your quality of life you should consider it.

I just tried to remove some with a q tip. I got a few, but I can feel more in there. Is it safe to remove these yourself??

I had a problem with tonsil stones. They are aweful. I hate them. They stink. Anyway, I was told by my ENT specialist that tonsil stones are just hardened pus. I was told that they can solidify completely into calcium too. I was also told that I may have tonsil stones because my tonsils are mildly yet constantly infected. Anyway, about 3 years it was bugging me and I have a girlfriend that I fell deeply in love with. I took my tonsils out 4 days ago. I hope this makes a difference. I didn't get an adenoidectomy, but I suspect that I may have had tonsil stones (or shall I say adenoid stones) comming from there too. I pray to god I never get them again!
I would definately try another means than a tonsillectomy, but I never knew about it, and my GP said the only way was a tonsillectomy. Had I known about irrigations and the rest I would have tried it. Good luck!
