Exclamation fractured rib, to wrap or not to wrap?

i beleive i have a fractured rib or med. insurance, i got some tape for wrapping my right side, should i leave the tape on constantly (except showering) or should there be some time when i take the tape off? my friend works in a hospital, she said not to wrap the whole chest, jjust the right side so that my lungs can fully expand. would an xray be pointless since all it will say is "its fractured wrap it up" or "its not fractured, just bruised, take it easy" and i really cannot afford one

Re: fractured rib, to wrap or not to wrap?

Sorry -- we cannot offer medical advice here.

If you have truly fractured a rib, whether you have medical insurance or not, you need to have a medical professional take a look at it and make the right recommendations.

It may not seem like a big thing now, but if it isn't properly cared for, then it could become a big thing later.
