    Question iliopsoas hematoma

Hi,I am recovering from an iliopsoas hematoma, which was caused by the consultant accidently piercing the iliopsoas muscle whilst performing a hip block. I have now been told I need a full hip replacement, they say it's because I have osteo arthritis,(I am 49 ),but I wonder if it is because the hematoma sat in there for 10wks!.I also have ankylosing spondylitis but they won't say it is that, probably because they don't have funding for the anti tnf drug to treat it until 2007. I assume they are being very tight lipped about what happened in case I sue ,but I just want to know the truth any input would be great thanks Jan
