Runny nose and sharp lung pain

Hey guys. A day or two ago I started to feel mild cold symptoms; congested nose and a mild sore throat. I thought I was coming down with a cold, but the symptoms didn't get worse for the next day.

Yesterday I noticed a sharp pain in my left lung whenever I inhaled. This has continued through today.

My symptoms right now are mild discomfort to the left of my chest when not breathing, sharp pain to the left of my chest when I breath (or cough, which I have done a few times today), and a stuffy nose (thick, green mucus). Also, last night I noticed when I put my hand up to my heart, I could feel clicking with every beat. This hasn't progressed into today.

I'd think I just have a cold if it weren't for the lung pain. Any ideas?

Sounds like either bronchitis or pneumonia. You should have a chest x-ray done. They have a good cold medicine (forget the name) with a small amount of codeine in it. When I had pneumonia (really bad). It helped with the wheezing, cough, mucous and sleep. Definitely go see the doctor. Good luck.
