    Unhappy broken nose

I was hit on nose with softball and my nose was broken. I had surgery 5 days later to re-align it at the top of bridge. It was not splinted. There is a slight hump at top of bridge and the bottom of my nose is still pushed to the right.

I was instructed to wait and see what it looks like in 9 months. Then if I am
not satisfied I could do something at that time.

Question...would it be beneficial for me to see a specialist/plastic surgeon now (or before 9 months) before it heals completely to help straighten my nose? It is still tender to the touch on the bridge.

    Re: broken nose

I would wait to do anything about it until it is healed. The swelling during the healing process can cause it to appear distorted. It may be that it will be just fine by the time the nine months is up.
