Ring Finger Angled/Curved?

About a month ago I fractured my left ring finger playing Gaelic Football (Irish Sport) and as a result it was crooked to the right from the middle joint, the consultant told me you can leave it alone and let it heal or have it repaired under surgery which is what I decided so went through with it they manipulated my finger then splinted it and taped them together although they didn't fully splint it only the front of it, so had the splint removed yesterday after four weeks and my finger is still crooked looking but yet the x-ray shows it is has healed nicely and doesn't looked angled/crooked on the x-ray but the naked eye it does and am very mad or is that normal maybe am over reacting, it just seems strange and it couldn't be right that my finger is still deformed could be it one of my tendons, I splinted it up myself all around so am thinking or more hoping it will straighten out itself over time when it settles down could someone please throw some light on what am saying?

Thanks alot,
