Re: Inner Ankle Problem - Can you help?

I too am having pretty similar issues-have any of your problems resolved?

I overused my ankle while studying in Europe after a history of ankle sprains, some pretty bad. After about 2 of the 3 months I was over there I realized I created a much bigger problem. Since coming back it's only been about 2 months and I've gotten the swelling down from a lot to pretty minimal, but it's definitely still there around the pt tendon.

First doc said microtears in pt tendon, radiologist report said 'mild hypertrophic posterior tibial tendonosis', podiatrist said something similar but that the ligament damage was preventing healing, foot and ankle specialist who I just saw said the MRI was very inconclusive because of inflammation and that it could be any of the inner ankle tendons. I feel your pain.

It's only been 2+ months but I am very concerned as I am only 20. I do pt, rest a lot, walk a bit, bike now, lots of calf stretches.

Anyone have anything to add I'd likewise love to hear some ideas.
