Question Hip Arthroscopy

Had hip arthroscopy on 2/28 for suspected labral tear. Did not speak with doctor post-op (and have yet to have my follow-up), but I believe the PACU nurse said the surgeon did labral debridement, cleared loose bodies and may have shaved something (but that last one I am not sure about). Pain meds and anesthesia has a way of blurring the memory.

Discharge instructions were "weight bearing as tolerated" so I tried putting nearly full weight throughout on day 3 and 4. Big mistake. Now it feels like knife-like pain in my pelvis and cramping in my hip joint, down the leg and into my foot. Flexing back or front if smooth and pain free, just not standing on the leg. Leg is still pink and not the normal peach like the opposite leg.

Did I do something wrong??

I hurt it at work -- was pushed on to concrete and my leg from the waist down went numb for almost 30 minutes -- so it's a Workers' comp issue. My Case Manager called the day AFTER my surgery and acted like I should feel 100% better and be jumping around, back to normal. What? I'm confused.

How should I feel? I'm at 6 days since surgery and I'm still in pain. Only one day I didn't need pain meds, just survived on the ice machine. But I also just sat and used crutches to ambulate. Once I put more pressure on the leg, my hip and groin screamed with pain. I have one incision in the hip area and one in the groin.
