    Unhappy Reclast

Hi, I'm Angie. I'm 37 and right now I was supposed to get Reclast on Tuesday, but my kidney function was 24% and needs to be 35%. I also have Ehlers - danols vascular type. My last dexa scan was -3.9 and rapidly getting worse. I was put on iv fluids for this week, in hopes to raise my kidney function. After reading your comment and all the others, I'm not sure I want to take that risk.

My issue is with my kidney failure, I'm at a higher risk of doing damage that can't be fixed if I choose to go ahead with the Reclast. I don't qualify for any treatments for osteoporosis as I'm not postmenopausal, my tubes are tied but I still have everything. My age is another factor. I'm on state insurance, so there's that to. I don't know what to do. We talked about prolia but the risk is the same. I have a high out put ileostomy, so pill forms aren't an option. I haven't broken any bones, but my doctors are so surprised I haven't with my bones being so bad. I have issues already with my jaw dislocating, receding gums, teeth that just crumble etc.
