What about studies saying bone stimulators increase bone density

Has anyone had a discussion with a doctor and read any articles that indicate the bone stimulators designed to heal non healing fractures can actually increase bone density? They stimulate bone growth and seems like an easy solution for very focused areas.

Hello. This may be a potential cure, but a totally off label use of a 4 6,000 system. I am using one right now. Has no-one else looked into this. I think these will get much better results than the platform or anything else out there.

I have several studies indicating that it does, but I have to exercise some discretion due to how I got my bone stimulator. These things heal fractures by activating osteclast or blast or what ever to build bone. These things are particularly good for small compression fractures and etc that may only show up on an MRI. The healing of these would further seem to help bone strength.

I just know there is a lot of hocus pocus and snake oil remedies out there. I have spent big money on traveling around the country and visiting different endo and anti aging specialist. Have researched everything from HGH, SR, SC, HRT, various vibrating platforms, silly calciums, various quack protocols, along with the conventional treatments.

The problem with the bone stimulators is definitely costs and it is very hard to even get an insurance to cover them for label uses. The fractures have to be unhealed for 90 days among other things.

The major downside to the bone stimulator and why these things will never get approved for oseto treatment is the relatively focused area of treatment. Some brands have better penetration and broader coverage than others. If you need to focus on a single hip or a very small part of your spine, you should get great benefits. You obviously cannot do your entire back, but only two or three vertabrae at a time and the treatment should be every day for about 120 to 150 days so you cannot really rotate and get the full benefit.

I am not pushing these things as I have no interest or stake and you get never get it covered by insurance anyway. If you have the $$$, I would say the dollars would be much better and safer spent here than with more dangerous treatments such as HRT and HGH or other precursor hormones such as DHEA, progenolone??? and etc.

    Hi,
I have done some research and NASA does use simulator when they return from a space mission. They do loss bone mass while in space. There are studies that show that simulators do increase bone mass. Lots of articles on line about this question.

Hi can you tell me what is the difference between bone stimulators and the plateform vibrator. I had just started to use the platform when I got a painful 10T fracture (lifting a small bucket of water). I don't use the platform now as it hurts! Lyn

I wouldn't think that bone stimulators are recommended if you already have a fracture.
