    Spinal Cord Stimulator and Exercise

I had my permanent implant done on 12/16/15 so am about 4 weeks out. I've been walking to start building back my strength. When was everyone able to return to regular exercise? I would like to start light strength training but am nervous because I don't want to disrupt my leads. I know to wait the 8 weeks, but is that the general rule of thumb? Any exercises to avoid?

The best option is to talk to the doctor and rep from the company that implanted the stim. While 8 weeks is usually enough to allow some healing, weight training or most excercising would probably require more time to make sure the leads and tissue are healed enough to prevent migration.
The last thing you want is to have gone through all of this, only to dislodge the leads because you started more aggressive excercise before your body is completely healed.
