    Drug Tests

When a drug that you are not taking shows up in your lab test, that is because drugs have many metabolites, some are active and some inactive. When morphine shows up in your codeine prescription lab test, that is because morphine is an active metabolite of codeine. Just google active metabolites and inactive metabolites for the drug you are taking. Your doctor probably does not know this information about the significance or unimportance of this info on a lab result.
