Exclamation Blue Toe Syndrome - Please Help!

    Hello,

Does anybody out there have any experience with blue toe syndrome? My grandfather has a very severe case and doctors are recommending below the knee amputation. Nobody seems to know anything about this disorder. Any advice or guidance is appreciated.

    Shannon

Blue Toe syndrome is a circulatory issue. Has your grandfather seen the right doctor? A neurologist might be helpful...and a cardiologist as well.

My toes turn blue from a condition called Reynaulds Syndrome- this is a side effect of my neurological issue but it is painful. Cold weather usually brings it on...

Make sure that your grandfather has seen every specialist available before resorting to amputation!

Yes...I have a mild case of Reynaud's and my fingers and toes can turn blue. He needs a full work up.
