    Tramadol

My mother is 90 years old. She had hip surgery.

The surgeon prescribed 50 MG of Tramadol for pain which is not working.

I called the surgeons office and was told that was the only thing he can prescribe for someone that age. End of discussion. My mother previously asked a lot of questions and I believe he doesn't want to deal with her any more due to being offended.

We called the home doctor that came by earlier that week.. She prescribed 100 MG of Tramadol. Is that too much? Would she be a fall risk at that dosage?
