    Anyone Using Combunex?

I have been using Percocet 10 mg for three years. Is anyone using Combunox, which substitutes Ibuprofen for Acetominophen with the Oxycodone? If so, are there side effects? Thanks,

I have not used this drug per se, but I have often taken ibuprofen with percocet. The combination works great for me. If you have any type of muscular pain, or even nerve pain, this may work better for you than the tylenol in percocet. Just watch for stomach problems! I was diagnosed with ulcers lately, and the GI says it is directly related to my NSAID use.

Hope this works well for you!

    Re: Anyone Using Combunex?

Combunox always worked a lot better for me than Percocet, but that makes sense because Tylenol has never done anything for me, and Advil has always worked well. However, because my insurance wouldn't cover Combunox and it was so expensive for what it was, I had my doctor prescribe plain oxycodone and I added my own cheap ibuprofen. A definite moneysaver, plus if you want to cut back on NSAIDs, you can do that too.

Thats a great idea, if I could see my dr,instead of the arnp, maybe she would do that for me.

    Re: Anyone Using Combunex?

maybe this will help...i take roxicodone 30mg and my pm doc suggests that i take tylenol with it when the pain is bad because he told me it acts like 'super-strength' percocet -- well, i was out of tylenol and took it with 3 advil and it actually felt like i got more relief, and it lasted a little longer

and i've had the same problem in the past with tylenol not working for me
