    Hi,

Norco, Lortab, and Vicodin are all brand names for hydrocodone with apap (acetaminaphin or tylenol to us laymen)

    Re: Norco/Lortab????

The Norco has less acetaminophen in it and of course a different manufacturer than Lortab and Vicoden.
Here are the stats for each:

    Norco: strengths 7.5/325, 10/325
    Lortab: strengths 2.5/500, 5/500, 7.5/500, 10/500
    Vicodin: strength: 5/500
    Vicodin ES: strength 7.5/750

Remember that any narcotic medication, even tramadol, can be abused and subsequently made "addictive"

    Re: Norco/Lortab????

these are rather strange formulas, I doubt that 325mg of paracetamol/acetaminophen would have any analgesic effect whatsoever

it helps, believe me.there is still enough to create the synergestic affect but the bigger thing here is that if you have to be taking this med on a consistant basis, you really really need to watch your tylenol intake.and for people like me who actually have a kidney and liver disease, trust me, it really matters.marcia

    Re: Norco/Lortab????

If I am not mistaken before ES Tylenol came out, wasn't regular Tylenol 325 mg? I think it was. I take Norco 10/325 and it's works for me as good as the 10/500. Why take all that extra aceteminiphen if you really don't need it? Occasionally I may need to take an extra tylenol or ibuprophen with my meds but it happens very rarely. I am grateful for the Norco myself. I have enough to worry about (as we all do) without the fear of hurting myself with the very thing that gives me any quality of life.
