    Blurry vision from zanaflex???

Anybody ever get blurry vision from zanaflex? I went up to the full dose today and am having a bit of trouble focusing. Part is likely switching back and forth from bifocals - that gives me a little trouble anyway. It takes me a while to get distance vision back if I've been reading awhile. I've got a very strong prescription and almost no distance vision without glasses.

If you got this, did it go away with time, or did you have to stop using the zanaflex? It's doing well with the spasms so I hate to give up on something when it might go away. I'm going back down to the lower dose for my next dose and I'll see if it improves.

    Thanks,

    Tigg.

Hey Tigg, I take zanaflex but never had vision issues. At first I began to sleep walk and do normal everyday things in my sleep, like out my make-up on or cook. It was VERY weird. I was allowed up to 8mg then. I stopped it for years and then was just put back on it but I asked for a smaller strength so I now take anywhere from 1-4 mg. I like it because it is not long lasting so I don't wake up feeling hung over. But no vision issues that I noticed.

    Re: Blurry vision from zanaflex???

    Thanks Boxluver.

I think it was more my glasses. I'm still not used to the heavy duty bifocal thing. This morning I took 1mg at 6am and waited till 8am to take the next 1mg. So far eyes are just fine. Yesterday I got up and took 2mg all at once then spent the next 2 hrs reading a fine print book. I'm allowed up to 8mg a day, and the doc origianlly indicated it should be in two 4mg doses, but I think I'm better off with more smaller doses, I think that 4mg all at once would have me nose down in my keyboard.

I am glad to know someone else had some sleep issues too though. I haven't gotten up and done anything that I know about, but I've had some very odd instances of 'hearing' things in the middle of the night that just couldn't be the cat or my husband. Really weird dreams/nightmares too. For two nights it was nightmares with someone 'shouting' at me. My husband was sound asleep, the cats were right there and asleep, and the neighbor's teens weren't out in the pool or yard (I went out and looked). Last night it sounded like metal drawer handles being held up and dropped like pulling out the drawer and letting go of the handle, again husband asleep, but last night one cat wasn't accounted for so I'm blaming her. I sleep with earplugs in since I'm a light sleeper, but this is weird! It was probably just the ice maker or a car door outside and my brain translated it to shouting, but boy it's strange.

    Thanks again.

    Tigg.
