Are my pain problems related?

My story: Disabled. July 3 2007 total right hip replacement (titanium). Contracted MRSA in surgical site which required removing substantial amount of my buttocks. 3 recurrances, 1 on my nose, and several under each armpit. All required surgeries and long term antibiotic IV (8 wks) thru pic line and oral zyvox. No recurrances in 18 mos. Approx 6 mos ago I started having very sharp pain in my elbows when I turned over in bed and put pressure on them. Not radiating or lasting. 2 mos ago my left hand and fingers went numb and still are to varying degrees, but it feels like my fingers are asleep. I went to Dr and he didn't give any explanation. 3 wks ago I started having the same numbness in right hand and fingers but not as bad as left side.
1 week ago I started having extremely painful shooting pain from my right knee and down outside of leg to bottom of foot near toes. When this happens, it almost brings me to tears and I cannot put ANY weight on that leg and ANY movement is excruciating. This lasts anywhere from about 2 mins. to around an hour and then goes away with a lingering dull pain throughout. Went back to Dr and he is referring me to orthopaedic surgeon. It has been 5 days and the shooting pain is becomming moret frequent and severe. I am taking oxycodone 500 mg and Lyrica 75 mg along with other meds for several other medical conditions including GERD, COPD, and long term depression which includes cymbalta and lexapro. I also have Hep C which has not been treated yet. Dr says I probably have had it 30 yrs or more, as I have no symtoms that I am aware of. Biopsy 3 yrs ago revealed that my Hep C status on both markers were a 2 on a scale of 4. Also, I have arthritis in my back which orthopedic Dr says is as bad as an 80 yr old would have and I am 55. Also arthritis has shown up in what she called a rare occurrance in the hip prosthesis site. Any thoughts would be appreciated as I am waiting 5 days now for my Dr to set up appt with specialist.

Re: Are my pain problems related?

I am confused. First of all. How were you injured? Second question: You are aware 500mg Oxycodone is a very high dose. So that 500mg Oxycodone does not help you? How long have you been taking 500mg oxycodone?
