Has anyone taken Exalgo?

Because of my insurance I had to change to a new pm and after taking lortab 10 for years, he switched me to a new drug call Exalgo. It's 16mg I take one every 24hrs. I'm waiting to see if my insurance will even approve it. The doc gave me some lortabs to take so I don't go into withdrawls while I'm waiting. Has anyone taken this? I've read some stuff on it and not really sure if I will be comfortable taking it. I didn't want to take anything any stronger than lortab but I guess I'll just wait and see if it even gets approved. It's very expensive!
Thanks for any help

Re: Has anyone taken Exalgo?

I tried Exalgo when there was the Opana ER shortage a few months ago. It really offered great pain control but the only problem I had with it was the potty issues. I liked taking just ONE long acting pill a day as opposed to 2-3.
Most chronic pain sufferers do need a long acting med. It sure beats chasing pain all day long taking something every 3-4 hours.
