    Dialated pupils

During an attack does anyone get dialated pupils that are fixed in a huge position. Do your pupils contract?

    Re: Dialated pupils

When I have been feeling like I might get a panic attack, the sunlight or bright lights like fluorescent lights in stores seem to really make things a lot worse. Maybe my pupils were dilated...I was probably too scared at the time to think of looking at them though. I always seem to feel more comfortable on cloudy days when my anxiety is elevated. Maybe that's why.

Its the whole fight or flight thing your body does. My doc was telling me about it and it goes back to cave man days
Think anout being in a dangerous situation...
Your heart pounds to send more blood and oxygen to those muscles
your hands sweat for better grip
Your pupils dialate for better vision
    and so on....

Hell yeah. It happened one day a long time ago when I was feeling anxious wicked bad, and don't ask me why, but I looked in the mirror and my pupils were huge! So yes, it does happen.
