    Parkinsons -- sinemet or requip?

Sinemet has left me unable to handle my property management business. Shaky or disoriented to often. ( get about 3 good hrs in am). Locals I know are on requip and seem to do better. Dr. wants me to see a Shrink. I am sure I have some depression and anxiety, but don't want any more meds. I took lexapro for about 2 weeks after a divorce. I thought i was losing my mind. Couldn't concentrate on anything. Scared the heck out of me!
What is the difference between the 2 ( sinemet- requip) and has anyone tried the fisher wallace stimulator?

I'm taking both - plus azilect. Also effexor for depression. No adverse side effects.

You didn't say how long you've been on that regimine but I can't emphasize enough the possible catastrophic effects of long term use of requip and sinimet, not to mention the combination of the two and if you need a antidepressent thats even worse. These drugs do NOT cure parkinson's they are maintenance drugs that prolong your ability to function that is constanly decreasing (something you will almostnever hear from your neurologist) From the symptoms you describe you need to start arrainging for retirement sooner rather than later.

I've been using requip for 2 years (with a short break to try neupro). The requip has not helped much. I added sinemet a few months ago and I have not felt so well in years. I'm aware of the long-term effects but thanks for the heads-up.
