Pregnancy Phobia

This may sound absolutely ridiculous.. but... I want to get pregnant but I am so scared!!!.. I"m scared about the weight gain...(I'm actually trying to lose weight.. can you lose weight while pregnant?) It just I'm 5'1....and I don't want my back to go out like. I have large bone structure and I'm very strong woman.. I am just so terrified about being pregnant. I think about just sleeping with something inside my stomach inflating. I can only sleep on my stomach. And that's not going to happen when i'm 6 months preggers.

And just the thought of spending 9 months with someone inside of me.....its just..terrifying to think of.

Can someone help me?
As anyone been in this situation before?
Anyone whom ever been pregnant tell me what it feels like because mostly likely this month I might be on the road to become a mother <IMG SRC="">

Re: Pregnancy Phobia

Well, I am 5'2". I was 135lbs when I got pregnant with my first. I went all the way up to 163lbs by the end and only went down to about 150lbs before I was pregnant with my second, then by the end of that pregnancy, I was 184 and went down to 170. I am now pregnant again and was very concerned about gaining weight again and inquired to my Dr. who said that as long as you are not under weight and taking your vitamines, your body will give up it's energy source (fat) to the baby. He said if I only gained ten lbs, it's great. Once you are pregnant, I don't think you will be scared, but facinated with another human being growing inside of you, or at least that how I felt. I lived to feal the next movement, it's a great bonding experience. As for sleep, I don't think anyone is comfortable after the sixth month, and maybe even the whole pregnancy, it goes with the territory. Even after the baby is born, your restful sleep is still compramised by that little bundle of joy, but those are the experiences that you always remember and I think actually look forward to for your subsequential pregnancies. I hope this helps please write us back and le us know when you're pregnant, how you feal, and when you first feal the baby move.
