No-one told me and so I am still confused from reading everyones' comments plus because my doctor didn't tell me that. But I have high levels of testoterone so I have a deep voice, facial hair (using a cream), I had bad acne (am taking pills and using cream), I am overweight but I don't know if that is anything to do with it or if I am just fat. I also haven't had a perod for 2 years put I get a pain nearly every day. This probably won't happen to you, I have special painkillers for the pains but they come and go quickly so I don't take them. My doctor won't put me on the pill till I'm 16 and he even talked to a specialist doctor about me being on the pill but they say it is best to wait til I am 16. I am anoyed even though it isn't their fault compleatly, I just wish someone would explain it to me, tell me what was going on. But there is no need for you to be scared because pcos is very common and now they know you have it they can treat you. The worst part you have overcome which is waiting to find out what you have.
Sorry If you fell I have scared you even more but you shouldn't because your going to be fine and I know I have ranted but j need someone to talk to and I can't talk to mum because she doesn't know much about it and dad tells me not to be silly because I get upset when I talk about it. So if anyone could explain anything to me that would be great I don't know how you would do that as I have only just joined this group. Sorry again about the rant and the extreamly long message x x .
