    Seventeen and Planning Pregnancy

Might sound retarded or not so understandable..but I'm seventeen (at least I will be in a few days) and I want to have a baby with my boyfriend My Mom doesn't know, neither does his Mom, but we are, now, using unprotective sex to help us out. I use to be on birth-control, Sprintee. But I was only on it for a week or so..and, then, we decided just, now, that we want to have a baby. ^_____^ Crazed or going through phase? I'd say CRAZED!!!

You need to be worrying about growing up and not having kids yet. You are still a kid.
You need to focus on school and becoming a better person and find either a good college or a good job.

Having a kid will only make things hard for you. You'll lose out on alot.

^_^ Yeah..I'm sure I wont be able to join every-single thing every well brought up teenager will be..but I'm not like all the other kids...I'm my own person. Anyway, I thank you a lot for the advice.

Everyone is their own person.... no 2 people are alike.... just a question for you:

What do you think your parents would say???

    Also:

How can you guarantee that your boyfriend who is still very immature like will be around to help you forever???

    Re: Seventeen and Planning Pregnancy

My Mom would be more than happy to help me. I mean, sure she'll freak at first, but she's already told me that if anything like this were to happen, she'd be by my side the whole entire time. Yeah, she's not your "average" Mother. And, as far as it goes for, Jesse, my boyfriend, if I didn't trust him, I don't think I'd take such a huge step, especially not with him. We really want this, it is, now, becoming a huge part of our lives, by just talking about it. I'm well aware of the huge step I'm taking and the concequences that come along with it.

By the way, when I said I wasn't like other kids, I REALLY meant it. Not that phase crap that teens my age go through about being soooo different.

I think you and your boyfriend need to have a sit down with your parents and his and have a discussion. You are not only changing you and your boyfriend's lives for ever but you are changing everyone's lives forever.

17 is way to young to have a kid. YOU are still in High School and have ALOT of growing up to do. It might be all fine and dandy and something you want out of life. We all want to have a baby someday.

They are alot of work and if you don't like it you can't just give it up.

There's alot of growing up that needs to be done before you make such an enormous decision and effect everyone's life around you.

This affects our lives more then any one else's. And we really want to have a baby, and just because we are 17, doesn't mean we are immature or cant handle it.

You lack the life experience and the ability to handle this situation.

YOU really need to TALK to YOUR families before you make a mistake that you can't take back!!!

    Re: Seventeen and Planning Pregnancy

^____^ I'm not being selfish. I said my Mother would be more than happy to help me, since she is a bit immature herself, not that I would expect her to stop her life to help me. Haven't you ever heard of teens who are mature? Not every teen is immature. Sure, a lot are, most of them as a matter of fact, which is why I'm no longer in school, prepping up for my G.E.D, and so is he.

Hey, Jesse. I'm glad you joined this site, it's awesome. It's helping me a lot as you can see. Helping me find more reasons why I want to do this so badly. hehe.

    Anyways, post away people.

I think your over reacting, Miss/Mrs. I appreciate your advice, but shoving all this down our throats isn't going to help. Learn this. You cannot save the world. Giving advice is great, but pushing it and pushing it is just annoying. lol.

I hope you guys can afford it. Babies are very expensive. You didn't say whether either you or your bf have jobs. Part of being a parent is having the money required to afford to pay for the child. You don't expect your parents to pay for this baby, do you?

Babies are a handful and VERY expensive and you have to take care of their health. How do you plan to pay for food and have a place to live and how do you plan to pay for doctor visits??
