Safe on BC? Bleeding? Surgery?

My boyfriend and I had sex the night of the 15th/morning of 16th. I am on birth control, but we usually still use a condom. However this time we didn't have a condom, so we proceeded to having sex without one. He pulled out before he ejaculated. I've been taking my birth control exactly as directed, and on-time every day.

This morning (3rd day after sex), I had blood on the toilet paper after I wiped. I'm not supposed to start my period till around next Wednesday. I still have to take my birth control pill today, tomorrow and saturday until I then start my placebo pills on Sunday.

My question is, should I take plan B since I am still within the 3 day time-frame? or am I safe considering I'm on birth control?

I'm nervous because I'm scheduled to have my gall bladder removed tomorrow morning, and don't want any complications taking my birth control and maybe even plan B. Someone please advise me! I feel dumb asking the nurses at my gynecologist because I feel like they judge me. I would appreciate anybody's response! Hope to get a response soon!

Re: Safe on BC? Bleeding? Surgery?

I'm only seeing your post now, so you probably already have your answer.

I'm pretty sure though, that you were just fine relying on your birth control pills and that Plan B would have been unnecessary.

How did it go?
