a reverse fetal position is where....

instead of the baby being in a "regular" fetal position ( head facing down towards abdomen and legs and arms curled up.

the baby's head is facing " backwards" towards the spine and the legs and arms are growing backwards...

Kind of like the baby is in a backwards letter C.

    make sense?

this is prevalent in children with .Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita

Yes exactly like a backwards C

I wasn't told what the baby had just that it was in that position. They did not sound real positive about it.

have they not told you anything else???

You can read up on this online and many babies do fine.

You should get more info from your doctor. How far along are yoU?

    Re: Reverese fetal position

Well all they told me was that the baby has hydrops in the lungs, abdomen, neck and some in the skull area and in the reversed fetal position with hands that are not clentched. He felt that it means a neurological insult most likely due to a virus possibly from Toxoplasma.
I am at 19 weeks and he acted as if the baby will either miscarry or not be born alive. He gave me a week to decide.
