What are you girls bringing to the hospital?

I was just wondering what all of you are planning to bring with you to the hospital, as I am sure I will forget something I will need!

Hope all is feeling well...

I am a long way off, but I figure as long as I get there, I will be doing good. If I forget something, I could always send someone back to the house to get it.

On the topic, what kind of clothes will you dress your baby in? Mine will be born in Decmeber and it is usually cold here. Do you dress them in a cute little outfit or a footy-type thing, or something else?

Re: What are you girls bringing to the hospital?

This is the list that is in the Mayo Clinic book:

For use during the labor phase of your hospitalization:
-Bathrobe and slippers
-Warm socks (labor rooms are often kept cool)
-Lip balm (lips often become dry during breathing techniques)
-Hard candy to suck on
-Toiletries (for both mom and dad)
-Glasses (you may have to remove contact lenses)
-Reading material
-Tapes or CDs, with a player if necessary
-Snacks for the birthing partner
-A watch for timing contractions, notepad, and pencil
-Camera, with fresh batteries and plenty of film
-Video camera, with battery fully charged
-List of telephone numbers to call when the baby arrives

For after you give birth:
-Pajamas or nightgown, with front openings if you plan to breastfeed
-Nursing bra if you plan to breastfeed
-Supportive bra if you plan to bottle feed
-Toiletries, cosmetics and hair dryer
-Address book
-Baby book
-Presents "from the baby" to your other children
-Small amount of money for snacks or for items you forgot to bring

For going home:
-Loose clothing (probably a mid-pregnancy maternity outfit)
-Baby outfit, including a hat
-Baby blanket
-Car seat for the baby

I will probably just bring most of the things on this list. My baby will be born in October or November but it doesn't get cooler here until that time. Last year it was still in the 90's until mid-November. I'm just going to bring a warm outfit and hat and blanket for her.

Dont bring any jewelry or credit cards that may be in your purse. Im bringing $10 in one dollar bills for the machines and my drivers licence and insurance card. Everything else stays at home.
