Talking Dr. Appt. this morning! Great news!

Hi everyone! Well, I had my appt at 8 this morning. The u/s shows teh cyst is completely gone!!! What a relief! Everything else looked perfect as usual. The tech gave me the BEST pic of Sophie's face! It is so detailed! They also drew blood to check my iron and do my glucose test. The glucose was great. It is supposed to be under 140 and mine was 110. Thank goodness! With my son Ian I had to go back for the 3 hour test, so I am glad to be able to avoid that this time! Of course, as expected, I'm anemic, so I get to start on mega-constipation iron pills. Bleh. As for my 25 weeks I've gained 21 lbs. I thought that was pretty good until the dr says "Lay off the juice and snacks, okay?" in this really sracastic voice. I almost started to cry!! I don't even drink juice! I eat really healthy, and I wear a size medium in maternity clothes! (Except some button-up tops...the girls want to "bust" out...LOL) Plus, I gained 70 lbs with Ian, so my goal was to gain 35 lbs or less this time. That's the range right...25-35 lbs? So, in the last 20 weeks the dr said you should gain 1 lb per week. I have 15 weeks if I gain a pound a week that will put me right where my goal is! ARGH! I just wish she hadn't said that, it made me feel awful, when I should just be happy about my baby's health! All in all a good visit and great news!

Congrats on your good news I am happy for you. The 1lb/week is just an average, you could have gained more at one time and maybe even none at one time. My doctor gave me the same range and told me if I gain more, it is just more I would have to take off. My last appt., I gained 3lbs in two weeks and was upset, but he wasn't and told me I was on target.

I am with you on the shirts. I have a smaller bust (about 34/36B), but I am already too tight in medium shirts because my bb's have grown so much.

Re: Dr. Appt. this morning! Great news!

That is great news. We had a level II u/s on Monday with a fetal maternal specialist and the cysts on our baby were also gone. He said that he does not concern himself with choroid plexus cysts and thinks they are normal. Everything else looked good for us too so we are feeling much better. I also had the glucose and iron tests done Wen. at my 4 wk and all was normal. By the way I have gained 15 lbs in 27 wks but I started on the heavier side and wear all large/x-large from Gap and old navy maternity. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.
