Where is the Location??

I am in my 19th week almost 20. Where exactly as this point is the baby (or my uterus ) located? I usually feel the baby move about 1-2 inches below my belly button but on the sides. It is never in the center of my stomach. Is this normal? Also, when does the belly button start to pop out or become a full blown outie?

Thanks, Stephanie

Re: Where is the Location??

I just asked that exact quesiton to my doctor a few weeks ago at my last appt (which was at 19 weeks). He showed me how to feel the baby from the outside, and it started about 2-3 inches below my belly button. I was thinking I could feel the baby moving around in there...but was unsure.

He also told me when I come back to my next appt in 4 weeks (which will be next Monday at 23 weeks) he will start even with or just above my belly button to feel the baby.

Now, I'll tell you, at around week 21, I could really start feeling the baby a whole lot more than even in week 19 and 20. The change was really significant.

Now in week 22, I can feel exactly where the baby is when it moves. Sometimes it moves to the side, low, or high up. Just last night, she was kicking around very very low...I kept saying, "swim to the're hurting me".

As for the belly button, I don't know that...I'm not there yet. I have a very deep inny, and for the first time in my life, I can now see the back of it. I think I've got a ways to go before anything comes out.

Re: Where is the Location??

Your baby is most likely head up, with their back facing your belly
