Question pain when standing & walking?

I am 28 weeks now & it hurts to walk & stand up. The pain is in the very low part of my belly close to my pubic line. Is anyone else experiencing this? And what is causing it? This is my 4th child & I didn't feel this with the others.

Re: pain when standing & walking?

Uggh.... I had a pinched nerve down there from the babies position. After I got further along, it started radiating down through my groin area into my inner thigh. It got so bad I couldn't LIE comfortably either. I had to sleep sitting up in the recliner!

Me too, I had a pain so bad shooting down from the bottom of my stomach, like where it meets your pubic bone, into my insides that I couldn't even walk! I asked the dr, that's where it started, and she said, just a normal pain! I call them the walking pains.

I get pain in the exact spot your talking about. I can't do anything that involves using those muscles, which actually means a lot less leg movements. It hurts and it's sore, but I think it's pretty normal.

I get that one too if I lie on my side without "propping" up my tummy. Ouch it kills!

When I walk I also have a pain in my lower left side, always my left side, but I also have sciatica in my right which isn't pleasant but not so bad yet, although I am only 22 weeks along. I get more worried that I don;t feel the baby move alot?

I have had a similar pain since about 30 weeks. Every now and again i'd have a really sharp pain near my pubic bone and would had to stop whatever i was doing and breath. My midwife told me i had symphysis pubis dysfunction where the ligament in your pelvis is basically stretching to make way 4 the baby. Some women can actually be in such agony that they have to be on crutches towards the end of there pregnancy! She advised rest and paracetomal of the pain got really bad. Resting has really helped when the pain is coming. I'm 39 weeks now and i haven't had too much trouble! Good luck xxx

When I was pregnant with my 5th baby I had horrible sharp pains at the pubic area. I told my doctor it felt like the baby was trying to push a foot through. He laughed and poo poo'd the idea. Then when I went in to labor and nothing happened after 18 hours they did an x-ray (didn't have ultrasound back then) and it turned out my baby was totally upside down and she was kicking her foot making me hurt so bad. She's 33 now and not a whole lot better! Anyway they did an emergency c-section and everything went well after that. I have no idea why doctors don't listen to their patients. It's our bodies we live in, and we know what is going on in there better than a doctor. If more doc's would listen to us we'd be much happier and the doctors would be right much quicker. I'll keep you in my prayers for a safe and happy delivery and a beautiful baby. But then all babies are beautiful
