Re: tums

Defintely is. I think it's the staple of every pregnant women's diet lol. I take them like candy and I'm 29 weeks. Though I was told by my midwife that rolaids are not good to take. So stick with tums!

Re: tums

Do they taste like chalk...I had tried them about 7 yrs ago and they did then so I just deal with the heartburn.

Re: tums

I was told pre-pregnancy they tasted like chalk but they defintely don't. My favorite is the white ones, don't know what flavor but they dissolve very quickly! Try different kinds till you find what your are comfy with. I love them and thank god everyday someone made them!

Re: tums

Rolaids are also o.k. although I think you are limited as to how many a day you can take. I find they work better then tums. You can also take gaviscon....much more expensive but works great and maalox.

Re: tums

Tums are OK, but if you look at the back of the bottle, there is a limit for pregnant women.

Re: tums

I don't have a limit for pregnant woman on the back of my tums box. Or the flip top bottle either. The only warning is to talk to your dr before taking them if you are taking a prescription also. My Dr said it was perfectly fine to take them, good even as it is an extra source of calcium. Just not to exede the daily limit.
