Blood in urine...Any info will help

Get a second opinion. I lost my son at 36 weeks last year and had horrible cramps menstrual type, diarrea and blood in urine for 2 days before he stopped moving altogether. I am sure your situation is not as serious as mine however I would suggest to do what I wished I had done, get a second opinion immedietly, go to the ER or whatever it takes. If its nothing great but if its something then you'll be glad you went. My doc also told me it was normal even though I thought I was having contractions the pain was so severe and consistant. They told me to take a tylenol. I am pregnant again and at 18 weeks and so far so good. I am seeing a specialist and believe me I call about every little thing. They are never upset at my calls and always very helpful. Please for your own peace of mind and the possible health of your baby, go seek a 2nd opinion. Just wanted to update info. I went and had some x-rays and ultrasound done last week. They really couldn't tell me anything, little one was kinda in the way. They just said I had urine backed up in my right kidney and there was some kind of blockage probably a kidney stone, they don't like to do anything while being pregnant so if I can wait that would be better. They want to see me back 2 weeks after I have the baby. He has been moving really good and I am making sure to pay close attention. My doctor said she would induce at 38-38 1\2 weeks if I was still having pain. Wednesday night I went to the hospital having contractions every 3 minutes I was not progressing so they said I could go home just to come back if they started getting painful. They said if I did have kidney stones that could trigger contractions. I woke up the next morning still having contractions but not consistent. Now I am just having Braxton Hicks every so often. I think the blood in my urine has went away or at least I can't tell if it is there. Over the weekend he moved to my left side for a few hours and since then I haven't had any pain. I don't know what happened. So now I am trying to decide if I want to wait or just be induced. I go back to the doctor Wednesday. I'll try and repost then. Thanks for your post and I am so sorry for what you went through.

i was going to say before i read ur last response that it sounds like stones to me. i had them alot but only when i was pg and it suked!!!

I had these problems through the whole 2nd half of my last pregnancy. Everytime I went to the ER, I had blood and crystals in my urine and all the ultrasounds showed that my kidneys were just holding the fluid (hypernephrosis, i think). I had every test they could do, including a limited IVP. There were no stones and they were never able to come up with an explanation for this re-curring problem. They would admit me a few days at a time until it went away just in case it caused contractions. I always felt like it had something to do with my water consumption. I drank at least 128 oz. of water everyday plus at least 32 oz. of milk. Anyway, I had a healthy boy and the problems never came back. I'm crossing my fingers with this one.

Looks like baby will be coming April 27th She said she would rather deliver him now than risk me having any other complications. Thank God! Now I have a day to look forward to. I am going to get nervous now. Got to get all the last minute stuff done. I'll keep ya'll posted if anything changes.
