Sunless tanning lotion?

Does anyone have any information about using sunless tannning lotion while you are pregnant? My legs are soooo darn white and I would love a little color on them. I don't sit and bake in the sun so I was hoping that I could get a little color this way.

I haven't read anything about this and figured it was more a matter of choice - similar to hair dyes, etc. Anyone have some feedback and not just opinions?

Re: Sunless tanning lotion?

I used it during my entire pregnancy and my OB told me it was fine. I loved the stuff. I used it at least 3 times a week and my ds is perfect. It only penetrates the first layer of skin.

I'm so glad you posted this!! I think I read somewhere that topical treatments are assumed to be safe (OTC stuff like benzoyl peroxide)... Never thought about the sunless stuff (I use it too). Thanks for the info.

Re: Sunless tanning lotion?

I just asked my dr at my last check up and she said some are safe and some are not. She said that they generally do a very good job of informing you on the bottle if you should be concerned or not so if you go with a reputable brand (like maybe not some weird thing from the .99 store or something) and you read the back carefully and there are no warnings then it should be fine. I use Jergens Natural Glow, works good and no warnings but it doesn't smell the best.
