Should I be concerned about baby's hiccups?

Lately I've noticed that he's getting them between 3-6 times a day and they last for close to 10 minutes. I'm 34 weeks and wondering if this is normal? I've read a few times that hiccups occuring so many times a day could mean there's something wrong with the cord?

I had the same exact concerns. I am now at 36 weeks and he hiccups frequently. My doc said that is a good sign, that means he is practicing breathing movements and is swallowing some of the fluid. They showed me on the ultrasound how his little chest moves up and down.

I wouldn't worry unless you are having decreased movement or other unusual symptoms.

Good luck

My son had hiccups all the time. It was funny when he'd get them bc he would see my tummy going up and down. He even had them when I was in labor and when I was pushing (funny feeling). It's completely normal and there is nothing to worry about. It's a sign they are growing (as my grandmother says)
