    Progesterone Too Low

I just need some reasurance. Has anyone else had a low progesterone hormone here and everything turned out fine? My level was 9 when she checked it last so she put me on Prometrium.. and I'm supposed to take two a day but they make me cramp soooo bad that I keep putting them off and usually take one at night because I'm afraid to double up on the dose. But, on the bottle, it says it doesn't prevent miscarriages. Grr.
And, now I feel bad because I'm not doing what I'm supposed to and am afraid because of me not wanting to cramp all the time I'm going to miscarry. They've also done two ultrasounds in the past month and both looked fine except for a cyst which they said was okay.. and the heart rate was normal. AHH HURRY UP 13 WEEKS!

sparkelbeed if you have low progesterone TAKE the prometrium as prescribed, if you dont and something happens you may blame yourself... things may work themselves out, but your progesterone helps the lining to sustain your pregnancy, call your dr and ask if there is anything you can take to help the cramping so you dont mind the prometrium so much... good luck sweety, and please take the progesterone!!

I'm taking it now, it was a couple of days last week when I was busy and didn't need to be cramping so I put it off.. and then forgot about it until night time. I already feel really guilty about it but hopefully it works out okay.

I am also on Prometrium suppositories. It doesn't cause me to cramp though. I was on the suppositories with my last pregnancy as well. No cramping then either. Are you sure the cramping is from the Prometrium?
Everything turned out fine with my last pregnancy and seems to be doing ok with this one. My best friend is also on Prometrium but she is taking the pill form. Maybe you should talk with your Dr. about that and see if that would be an option for you.

I'm taking the pill and according to my dr the cramping is normal.. and I've read sites where it's a side effect. Thanks for the replies. I just am feeling really guilty about missing a few days and it'd driving me insane!

Oh. Well maybe switching to suppositories would help.
