early pregnancy and ovary pain?

To me it sounds like normal pulling and stretching of the ligaments while your uterus prepares for the baby. At five weeks I had terrible pains especially when I rolled over or sneezed. Just like the round ligament pain of later pregnancy. I also had general achey and sharp pains in that area when not moving.

when I went in for my u/s my re asked me if I had had any pains like cramping. I told him I had he said that is normal and was being caused by the cyst I had on my left overy which was also normal.

I had a pretty large cyst on one of my ovaries during the first several weeks of pregnancy. It was uncomfortable, but got better after some time passed. It could definitely also be some round ligament discomfort due to stretching.

S&J YOU'RE PREGGO WOW, congrats, remember, we were august mommy's in 2005 together and infant board for awhile, and you are preggo too. That's so exciting.

I'm an august mommy AGAIN, this time very end of it (I think I'm due Aug.29 or 30th) so I could also become a sept mommy like you (hopefully not, lol). I'm so excited for you too.

I also had a lot of pain w/ my son in the first 5-7wks, especially on left side, but I didn't have a cyst there. This time no stretching pain, but major m/s. The doctor can do early u/s to check for presence of cyst and size, if it's less than 5cm, it will usually dissolve w/o treatment, if it's larger than that it will have to be followed, and if complications arise it can be easily removed. So don't worry and see your doc.

Oh, how is Troy, he must be such a big boy now. Avery is starting to talk more.

Thanks for your comment about the pain...I haven't felt anything since a couple of days ago..so I'm assuming the cyst dissolved?
I'll be seeing my Dr. on fri and have to have an early u/s done anyway at 7 weeks to see if there are muliples.

Yes, Troy is a big boy! He doesn't walk anymore--just runs He's talking more too and is sleeping awesome!

oh s&j, i'm glad you're feeling better. I've been really sick w/ this pregnancy. I just had my u/s today and the measurements say i'm 9w4days. It was so neat, the baby was lifting it's arms and turning around. I have my first picture now.

You're 5 wks, hope you're feeling well, and stay that way. It'll be nice to chat on this board again w/ some familiar 'faces'

It's still early and my time of m/s-all day sickness will be here

I pulled a back muscle while lifting Troy out of the tub...I gotta learn how to use my legs!!!
