    how to delay labor?

Hello all. I'm only 34w/5d and I'm already getting paranoid about delivering early. My water broke with my daughter at 35 weeks even though I had a model pregnancy.
I am mostly worried because my DH will be accross country for a week when I'm 37weeks. I really hope not to deliver before my 38th week.
Is there anything I should avoid to make sure I don't cause my body to go into labor?
I had planned on getting a prenatal massage during the week he's gone. Should I cancel it?

Even though I delivered at 38 weeks with DD, I am paranoid about this too. Is your doctor concerned about this? I would suggest that you talk to him about this and see what he suggests you avoid. I think probably that if you water is going to break, there really isn't anything to prevent that. You can also put yourself on "bed rest", but that is tough when you have another little one to care for. I would just take it easy, and see if maybe you could see your doc once a week until you deliver. They are the ones who will be aware if things are going too fast. I am only 21 weeks, and panic about delivering early too. I have GAD, so this doesn't make it easy not to panic. I will pray for you and your baby that you deliver past 38 weeks for you DH to be with you. Good luck and God Bless.

i would suggest that you limit yourself in all physical activity and stay off of your feet as much as possible. but in the end your body and baby knows when it's time. good luck!
