Dish Detergent Okay During Pregnancy?

Hi all. I just read that it's not safe to use dish detergents, like Cascade, in the dishwasher when pregnant because some of the detergent will be left on the dishes after the cycle is done and phosphates are bad for the baby. Is this just silly? I use Cascade, have been, and I never was told not to. I just want to make sure that I am not the only one! And I thought that was what a rinse cycle is for! Ok, sorry, I just want to ease my mind. Thanks! :P

I've been thinking the same thing!!! I hadn't read it anywhere, but notice when I'm loading the dishwasher the smell of the Cascade seems so strong I think "is this ok for the baby??". I've been rinsing out glasses before using them (despite the rinse cycle!) but I know I'm not about to hand wash dishes for the rest of my pregnancy!!! I've seen little baby accessory baskets for the dishwasher to put bottles, etc. in, so I'm assuming dishwasher detergent is ok since those items are being washed and rinsed the same way our dishes are.
