I sure hope you mean 12-14 weeks, cause I don't know about you but I'm defenitely done being pregnant at 10 months!! lol.

If your question is 12-14 weeks, I think anything can cause miscarriage. Same things that cause miscarriages at 5 weeks or 8 weeks. Hopefully someone else will be able to answer something in more detail for you though!

Alot of them happen because there is something really wrong with the baby, and some of them are caused because our bodies might not be able to sustain the pregnancy,(e.g. not enough progesterone) or something like that. But most of them I don't think anybody really knows, Your Dr. might have better answers

I had a miscarriage at 14 weeks. When I go my papers from the hospital it said 'Missed Abortion' - I couldn't imagine what that meant so I called the dr.
She was very kind and explained that the fetus had died at some time and I did not miscarry, that is why they had to do the D&C. Her theory was that an old egg, one that was almost too old to live got fertilized but would never have turned out a normal baby. I was heart broken - but that was 10-31-77, went to the dr. in Jan. and found out I was pregnant again and had my daughter 9-12-78, had a son on 5-1-80. He was born exactly one week after the first baby would have been born. The m/c was due 4-24-78. As
you can see things worked out well for me. Hope they will you too.

Oooops....I meant 13-14 weeks....he he...

Thank you all for the reply's and my sympathy to the ones who have lost.

I too have had a missed miscarriage, but I was around 8 weeks pregnant and lost my baby at 6 weeks.

I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and want to get over that "miscarriage" hurdle, I just worry alot. I will be going for my ultrasound soon, so that will relieve alot of worries.

Thanks again and good luck to you all.....
