    Post Venous Thrombosis

I have varicose veins and have been wearing compression hose for a month and a half (I'm 28 weeks). I woke up this morning with a sore calf that is tender when touched (or not for that matter) and aches when I walk. I have a doctor's apt on Friday and will for sure mention this since it does hurt when I touch it, but I hate to call in with such a complaint since just last week it was contractions I was calling in for........I'm beg. to wonder if I'm too paranoid, but then the symptoms I've had do correlate to Venous Thrombosis which is a serious condition, so maybe not? What do you think?

Call. Don't worry about what your dr. or the office staff 'thinks' of you. Pregnancy is not a time when you have to worry about looking good. Take the best care of yourself you can which means getting answers each and every time you need them. These people are experienced with pregnant women and there is probably nothing you can do to shock them!

Call your doctor TODAY. They are there to help you no matter how minor you think your problem is. You don't want to mess around with something that could be a blood clot.
