I'm sarah and i'm 20 weeks and I get them 2-3 times a week if not more, and its excrushiating pain everytime. Applying my heating pad and massaging it away help but my dr. did say that leg cramps are often a sign that your body is low on potassium. Now that the baby is taking part of your nutrients you need twice as many just to get what you need for your body. Try eating more bananas or looking up other foods that are high in vitamin K.

Re: Charley horse at 21 weeks... but pain won't go away.

Hi - I had the same issue with my first pregnancy and another pregnant mom at the time told me to try pure cherry juice which is very high in potassium. It worked WONDERS. I'd drink a small glass at night before bed.

This time I knew to start with the cherry juice as soon as the cramps started and I've been cramp free for most of my pregnancy.
