Compartment Syndrome
I have read the information posted from several months past regarding compartment syndrome that other folks have experienced.
I had surgery (fasiotomy) on my right leg on April 22, 2004. While I can walk further (some days), low pressure changes in weather are excruciating and I rarely have a day without pain.
I have other health problems (RA, OA, bulging disks L4, L5) but this is the proverbial 'last straw'.
As a 57 yr-old, non athletic woman I seemed an unlikely canidate for this ailment. I am going to Curves 2-3 days a week because each exercise is only 15 seconds. And, doing Therapeutic Pilates to increase flexability and good health.
I am going to a second Orthopedist on 9/29/04 due to insurance changing. The new Internal Med doc thinks my leg should be healed by now as I do. I am interested in hearing from any of you who might have had a similiar experience. Does it get better? What helped you?
