Yeast infection in the brain?

Red face Yeast infection in the brain?

See my topic on my wife-Vasculitus Rare Kind?

I am wondering if anyone has heard of a person having a yeast infection in the brain? I recently had one in my intestines from a strong antibiotic I took before surgery and it didn't show up in any of my tests. I had a spot on my brain MRI and the docs started looking for MS. Turns out that most of my trouble was this yeast infection making me really sick. I still have some trouble but not like when I had the infection.

Anyway I was reading in a doctor book and saw that a yeast infection can spread to the brain, heart, kidneys, and some other major organs! We went to Cleveland Clinic a couple of weeks ago and they are still somewhat puzzled and now they even say that her ana's where fine there! Going to ask the doc on our next appointment about this but wanted to beef up on my questions in the meantime.....input anyone?

There's an excellent technical article on systemic candidiasis that mentions CNS [central nervous system] involvement. Couldn't find anything on this on the less technical sites. To access this article do a search using the following:
