To those who have had their RSD spread to another limb... how long after you were diagnosed/hurt/operated on, did your RSD spread??
I was hurt originally in 2002. Developed RSD from breaking my foot in three places. Went into remission after two years. Then got hurt again, and it has been full-blown worse than ever for five years now. It was always just my left foot, for all five years.
Now, literally, 5 years later (Seriously.. 5 years to the DAY even stranger!!) my right foot has been aching and burning when anything touches it. It's the same strange deep down aching and burning pain. It bothers me when just my blanket rubs against it, just like my other foot.. or when the shower water hits it.. or when I bear weight on it
I always prayed that it wouldn't spread, but I really think it has. My doctor also thinks so, but when I saw him last, it had only been bothering me for two weeks so he said we should wait. Now it's been over a month and it's the same!
I walk with a cane to get the weight off of my left foot, now I don't know how I'll get around when I need to get out of the house.. it's slowly getting worse! I'm just wondering how long it took for others who have had their spread, to spread.
