Doctors don't know much about RSD so how do you expect them to react to a patient with this disease? It's discouraging to say the least when a doctor says, it's all in your head. They only say that because they know NOTHING about it and WE ALL want doctors who know about RSD, so in this case, when finding a doctor, IT WILL TAKE A WHILE, especially for the newly diagnosed, make sure to have your medical records with you so when you do go in to find a doc, they will know what they are about to deal with. And you have to ask how long they have been dealing with patients with RSD. Much like shopping, you have to for a doctor, so you can receive the best treatment for you. As for carrying your medical records, it's much better than having other doctors faxing and calling each other AND it beats sounding like a broken record!
