RSD and Chest Pain

I have had RSD on my right side for 40 years. I have gone into remission several times. This last time I came out of remission I began having chest pains. I have gone through all the heart tests and they found nothing. Every time I have the pains it sends my blood pressure up. By the time I get to the hospital or Dr. it has decreased and my blood pressure has started to go down.

Not long after I began having chest pains, I began having pain in my left side. Has anyone else heard of when RSD moves from one side to the other it involves chest pain?

Re: RSD and Chest Pain

I don't know if it is related to that or not but I had started having severe chest pains, enough to where I almost called an ambulance (which I probably should have anyways!) but decided it was just anxiety and it will go away. I kept having chest pain for about a week. Not long after that my RSD did go into my other foot. When I went to the doctor, he said it was acid reflux from my meds. Even though I told him I don't get heartburn, he said that most likely, while I am laying down at night, that it is probably starting then. I took Prilosec for a month and that did help. I quit taking it and it just recently the chest pains have started again. I am only 45 and have no history whatsoever of cardiac problems. So again, not sure if its related or not but it may be worth checking with the doctor on. What meds do you take? And just curious, with having the RSD that long, what kind of pain do you have associated with it? I have seen so many people on here have so many different symptoms. Also, if you have (or ever did have) skin sensitivity, is/was it a constant pain or was it at any time intermittent? I get skin sensitivity but it isn't all the time. Sometimes the doctor can touch my leg with no problems and other times, I'm ready to go through the roof when she touches it! Just looking for answers on this since I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I figured if you have had it for this long, maybe you would have some answers. I guess in some ways, I'm still trying to convince myself that I really don't have this stupid disease!
