Recently I've been very concerned about a health issue.. to the point where it's all I've been thinking about.

On top of that I recently split from my girlfriend of four years who I spent almost everyday with. I've battled stress and anxiety issues in the past and for the last few days it has been at an all time high.

Is it possible for the stress and anxiety from the break up and the health concern to create constant weakness in my muscles.. specifically my legs feel heavy and strained as if I've been on my bike way too long or ran miles.. when I haven't done those things at all.

Anybody ever experience something like this or able to offer any advice?

Re: Weakness?

Yes, the stress from a break-up (or any major life event) can do all kinds of weird and wacko things to your body. Don't worry about this symptom for now, unless it continues when you can honestly say you are no longer under stress. Just take good care of yourself, take plenty of time to yourself, relax as much as you can, etc.
PS: Last time I went through a break-up, I couldn't believe all of the weird things that started happening to me, from being under constant stress all day long for months. The symptoms all went away over time.

Be well and good luck healing!

Re: Weakness?

My son has the same sort of thing happening. He started out with episodes of ataxia and slurred speech. It stayed mild and then his wife threw him out of the house, abused him emotionally, dumped him, and has now taken up with somebody else. I can tell immediately if he has had contact with her, his speech and walking are much worse. I am hoping with the treatment he is having (plasma exchange) and being away from his breakup, that he will begin to heal and recover. I wish you the best; let me know what's happening with you.
